The Jamaica College Scotland Building’s roof needs to be replaced. The floor in the building has been damaged because of rain water leaking through. The building was erected in 1889. Jamaica College PTA Computer Project 2016 – Donate Today

The Jamaica College PTA is seeking assistance for a computer project to help students at the school. See below for information on the Jamaica College PTA Computer Project 2016. ABOUT PROJECT

Jamaica College PTA   Shoppe  Restructuring is a project by the  Jamaica College PTA  to transform the PTA Shoppe into a docu-centre that seeks to serve all stakeholders at Jamaica College, but primarily those at risk youth between the ages of 11 and 19 years. It aims to provide computer and internet services for those young men who do not have such facilities at home and are hindered in their research for assignments, projects, School Base Assessment (SBAs) and Internal Assessments (IAs). The project will provide additional services such as typing, emailing, colour printing, photocopying, binding and laminating of assignments, projects, SBAs and IAs.  Finally, to change the present infrastructure to facilitate the secure storage and accessibility of stationery supplies and other school supplies as well as memorabilia.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  1. To increase the submission rate of homework assignment and projects from 75% to 90%.
  2. To increase the on time submission rate ofSBAs and IAs from 65% to 95%.
  3. To stock and adequately secure key inventory items throughout the school term.
  4. To improve the operational efficiencies of the PTA Book Shoppe

LONG TERM OUTCOME

To create a facility that enables access to homework and study resources on campus, resulting in improved educational outcomes for underserved students.

INTERMEDIATE OUTCOME

Improved academic performance from ready access to cutting edge computer facilities and increased operational efficiencies of the PTA Shoppe

SHORT TERM OUTCOME

Greater access to docu-centre and printing/research services provided to our boys.
