Yesterday, Jamaica College unceremoniously brushed aside St. Anne's High boys 5-0 to move to 20 points and take the Eastern Region title in the bmobile Schools' Badminton League. They now leave Haile Selassie and Calabar, both on 13 points, to attempt to secure second place and a spot in the All Island Final. Those two play their final tie today when Haile Selassie takes on Holy Trinity and Calabar plays St. Anne's.
For the girls, St. Andrew on 15 points take on Wolmers this afternoon where a win will take them past St. Hugh's (18 points) and place them in the All Island Final.
The line up for Saturday's first round of the All Island Championships which has been switched from G. C. Foster College to the Constant Spring Golf Club Racquets Complex, will see:
Boys - Jamaica College versus Manchester High and DeCarteret College versus either Haile Selassie or Calabar.
Girls - Haile Selassie versus Bishop Gibson and Manchester High versus either St. Andrew or St. Hugh's.
The winners of those ties will play the All Island Boys and Girls Finals later in the day.
