It is with saddened hearts marked by overwhelming grief that the Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida reports the passing of one of our True Blue visionaries, Mr. Michael Anthony “Tony” Budall class of 1973, who passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Tony made considerable contributions to the college while he was an outstanding student within its walls. He frequently commented on the impact Jamaica College had on his life, which was reflected in his unflinching support.
Tony’s contributions were evident in living out the motto of our Alma mater "Floreat collegium, Fervet Opus in Campis"—May the college prosper, there is work burning in the fields. He actively worked to provide scholarships to students at Jamaica College. In 2004 Tony became active in the Florida chapter of the JCOBA where he served as the secretary and executed the charges of a director. This is a significant loss to our True Blue community. Thus, we share this loss with his family—his wife Donna and sons Bijan & Rashan. We therefore, extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and the wider JCOBA community during these days of unspeakable grief. Our prayers are with you.
His Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the
Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South Funeral Home and Cemetery
