JCOBAFL Scholarship/Bursaries named in honor of Griffin Award recipients. The award(s) are directed towards 5 particular Disciplines (1. Medical 2. Journalism/Education/Theatre and Visual Arts 3. Law/Humanities 4. Business 5. Engineering) and would be disbursed pursuant to delineated criteria for each discipline.

 

Below are the criteria for each of the Griffin Awards Grants & Scholarships/Bursaries agreed to by the JCOBAFL Board.

The Griffin Awards Grant & Scholarship Critera

•  Student presently matriculated and in good standing at Jamaica College
• The student has demonstrably participated in activities and or studies showing a proclivity for the Discipline course of study; including, but not limited to related Disciplines.
• The student has a most recent GPA which places him in the top 30% of his assigned class.
• The student has submitted a written letter of scholarship interest of no more than two paragraphs, detailing his candidacy for this award.
• The student must submit a letter of recommendation from at least one present teacher; academic advisor; or tutor, attesting to his interest, skill, and propensity for excellence in the above-identified academic discipline.
